DOT BAT/EBT 1 Day
Monday, October 8, 2012 $445This self-study and one day in-classroom course certifies studens as Breath Alcohol Technicians according to 49 CFT Part 40 regulations as published by the U.S. Department of Transportation. This is the Intoximeters' standard method of training BATs.
Within two weeks of the class date, students will complete an on Computer Based Training (CBT) program which instructs the user the DOT rules and regulations in accordance with 49 CFR Part 40. This interactive CBT is delivered online via Intoximeters website.
In the classroom portion of the training, the student will be trained on the use of the specified EBT instrument. Classroom activities include a quiz on the pre-class material and detailed hands-on lessons in the operation of the EBT instrument. These EBT lessons involve the study of the Quality Assurance Plan in addition to performing subject tests, accuracy checks and calibrations on the instrument. Students will conduct a minimum of seven tests using live subjects to meet DOT's BAT training requirements. Upon successful completion of the written quizzes and the required minimum seven tests, students will receive certification as Breath Alcohol Technicians and Factory Authorized Calibration Technicians.

DOT BAT/EBT/INSTRUCTOR 3 Days
Monday, October 08-10, 2012 $1195This class includes 1-day self-study and three days in-classroom training and certifies students as Breath Alcohol Technicians according to 49 CFR Part 40 regulations and as BAT Instructors and Calibration Technician Instructors. This Instructor training course includes Breath Alcohol Technician training. Students will complete an online Computer Based Training (CBT) program which provides detailed instruction on the DOT rules and regulations in accordance with 49 CFR Part 40.
During the first day of classroom training the student observes Intoximeters' Corporate Trainer and participates in the BAT/EBT Proficiency course. EBT Proficiency training includes instruction on the display messages and operating protocols for a particular EBT instrument. This class meets the DOT requirements for initial BAT training and exceeds the requirements for BAT Refresher training. The course also includes Calibration Technician training.
In the 2-day Instructor portion of the course, the students become familiar with the DOT Administrator's Guide that sets forth the DOT requirements for training Breath Alcohol Technicians, advanced EBT and Calibration Technician theory, testimony issues plus detailed training modules for instructing BATs in EBT Proficiency and calibration.
Successful presentations of BAT and Calibration Technician training modules are required to be certified by Intoximeters as an Instructor. Presentation assignments will be provided to the instructor candidates during class. Attendees will receive an array of training tools and aids including electronic Power Point presentations and an extensive resource manual.

DOT BAT/EBT Refresher 1 Day

Urine Collector Course
Thursday, October 11, 2012 $250This course trains the student as a Collector and provides materials & guidance for use in training other collectors. A certificate will be issued to successful participants.
Course topics includes qualification requirements for collectors, trainers, and monitors, important definitions, collection site facility requirements, the new Custody and Control Form, steps in the collection process, obstacles to completing a collection, and a written examination. The students will perform a minimum of 5 mock collections as required by the DOT regulations. An Instructor manual and materials are provided for use in training collectors in your own company.
